Branscome’s Hampton facility hosted the City of Hampton’s “Waste Watchers” for their spring bus tour. Branscome’s representative, Group Safety Manager - Jay Lipscomb, shared with participants facts about the company and its recycling efforts. One topic of discussion was the importance of RAP in the manufacturing of new asphalt. |

General Assembly Special Session June 23rd |

The Governor has called a special session of the General Assembly to begin on June 23 to deal with transportation funding. The Governor will introduce legislation that will provide new and sustainable funding for transportation. |

Powhite Parkway toll plaza opens |

The new Richmond Metropolitan Authority's Powhite Parkway southbound toll plaza opened Saturday, April 12, as part of the Powhite Plaza Expansion/Split Plaza Project. With the opening of the new plaza, current southbound lanes will close to begin testing the new Open Road Toll (ORT) lane technology. All southbound traffic will be directed through the new plaza during this phase. |

The New Kent Roundabout is a multiphase project in which Branscome Richmond is being contracted by Resource International to construct traffic calming roundabouts at both the east and west on/off-ramps from SR-106 to I-64 in New Kent County. This project supports a large housing, retail, and commercial development project just north of the intersection. |

With 13 mixers and three shifts, Branscome Eastern Shore completed a continuous pour of 1,247 cubic yards for the Chincoteague Bridge project on March 10th. Thanks to those plant, QC and driver employees from Branscome Hampton Roads who participated in this challenge. Special thanks also for the “pride” that sustained those Branscome Eastern Shore employees who endured the entire 21-hour process. |
