On June 18th, Branscome, Incorporated hosted engineers, local government officials, and private contractors for a demonstration of the company’s newly installed warm-mix asphalt system at its plant in Hampton, VA. Warm-mix asphalt is an environmentally friendly product, which boasts lower energy consumption, reduced plant emissions, and improved on-site air quality compared to traditional hot-mix asphalt. Branscome is proud to be able to lead in our industry’s transition to greener technologies by becoming the first contractor with a warm-mix-specific asphalt plant in Hampton Roads. |

Branscome Performs Pipe Bursting |

Pipe bursting is a trenchless technology used to replace an existing pipe, while not disturbing aboveground structures, such as roads, buildings, and landscaping. Pipe bursting can be used to replace pipe, which is undersized, damaged, or made of unsuitable material, with new pipe that is up to four-inches larger in diameter. |

To be an Eagle Scout, you need to camp out at least 20 nights, be able to teach First Aid and know how to rescue drowning swimmers. And, if you're Johnny Mac Yates, get rid of the tadpoles at the Lucille Brown Middle School track. |

RMA Powhite Parkway Nears Completion |

Rush-hour backups will be a thing of the past for the 100,000 commuter vehicles that use the RMA Toll Road every day. Branscome has been working on this project and expects final completion in September. |

Skipper Jim Durrette Enjoys 46th on River |

Jim Durrette and wife Betty celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this past April in England on the Trent and Mersey canal. They arrived in London for a brief visit but later ventured off to the outskirts of Nottingham for a 6-day “Narrowboat” tour of the countryside. |
