The RMA Project is a large grading and paving project for the construction of new express lane toll facilities along Powhite Parkway for the Richmond Metropolitan Authority. The Project started in August of 2006 and has a completion date of September 26, 2008. The purpose of the Project is to improve traffic flow by allowing vehicles with electronic passes to flow through the toll areas without having to slow down. The Project consists of major grading and drainage improvements, stone base and cement treated stone base, asphalt paving, new toll facilities, overhead signage, and other incidentals to accommodate the new express lanes. |
